The Role: Global Accounting Lead

As our Global Accounting Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing Certn’s global accounting operations and ensuring our financial reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and leadership-focused. You’ll oversee core accounting operations, support month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and help ensure Certn’s financial data is reliable, audit-ready, and useful for business decision-making.

You’ll also lead and support a team of accounting professionals, helping build a high-performing culture rooted in accountability, continuous learning, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

This full-time role reports to the Assistant Controller and can be filled by anyone in Canada, but there is an expectation to work closely with our UK team so Eastern working hours are preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing (and Crushing)

Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the global month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial results.

  • Review and approve journal entries, supporting calculations, and account reconciliations to maintain data integrity and audit readiness.

  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including timely processing, accurate coding, and alignment with internal controls and vendor agreements.

  • Maintain and improve global accounting processes and internal controls to support efficiency, consistency, and risk mitigation.

  • Prepare and deliver internal financial reporting, including variance analysis and commentary for leadership and finance stakeholders.

  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions to support accurate consolidated reporting.

  • Own and complete the global month-end checklist, ensuring accounting processes are consistent and complete.

  • Serve as the accounting system administrator, supporting data integrity, access control, and system optimization.

Financial Ownership & Accountability

  • Act as a key accounting owner for Certn’s global financial results, ensuring financial activities are accurately reflected and aligned with accounting policies and standards.

  • Ensure accurate and timely cash flow reconciliations and analysis are completed monthly.

  • Partner closely with the Assistant Controller to validate and explain regional financial data for consolidation and leadership reporting.

  • Proactively identify and resolve accounting issues, discrepancies, or risks.

  • Uphold IFRS, regional GAAP, and internal accounting policy requirements across global activities.

  • Support external audits by owning reconciliations, preparing documentation, and responding to audit-related inquiries.

  • Provide useful insight into global financial performance by connecting operational activity to financial outcomes.

  • Recommend and implement improvements that increase accuracy, control, and scalability across accounting practices.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and support a high-performing global accounting team through day-to-day guidance and technical oversight.

  • Deliver data-informed insights and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen decision-making.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the financial impact of business activities is accurately captured.

  • Support preparation for board reporting, investor communications, and strategic finance initiatives by providing reliable financial data.

Compliance, Tax & External Partnerships

  • Manage timely filing of GST, PST, Employer Health Tax, and other statutory remittances in accordance with regional requirements.

  • Liaise with external accountants and advisors on annual corporate tax filings, SR&ED claims, and audit engagements.

  • Provide accurate documentation and timely responses to external partner requests.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA designation completed or in the final stages of completion.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP and IFRS where applicable.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and formula logic.

  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when reconciling data and identifying financial discrepancies.

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end month-end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and reporting deadlines.

  • Experience preparing full sets of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Strong understanding of supporting schedules such as deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, intercompany accounts, and FX revaluations.

  • Practical experience preparing or reviewing indirect tax filings and statutory submissions.

  • Comfort working with auditors, tax advisors, external accounting firms, or regulatory bodies.

  • Experience identifying process improvements or implementing controls that improve accuracy, efficiency, or audit readiness.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, FP&A, Product, and external partners.

  • People leadership experience, including the ability to mentor, delegate, coach, and support accounting team members.

Bonus Points

  • IFRS experience.

  • NetSuite experience.

  • Experience working in a global, remote, or multi-entity environment.

The Role

Jump’s data platform is at an inflection point. What started as an internal capability now powers the analytics and insights our clients rely on every day. We’re turning it into a full product: scalable, multi-tenant data infrastructure, an expanding library of integrations pulling from a growing set of first- and third-party data sources, and an AI intelligence layer that transforms raw data into actionable decisions.

As Data Platform Lead, you’ll own the vision and execution of that platform. You’ll lead and grow our data engineering team, partner closely with our AI engineer to shape how agents and LLMs consume and act on our data, and work across Product, Engineering, and go-to-market teams to build something that scales — not a series of one-off implementations. The platform you build here will become core infrastructure for how our clients run their business.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the data platform strategy end-to-end — from ingestion architecture and scalable, multi-tenant data infrastructure to transformation pipelines, a modern BI layer, and how the platform grows as we add clients and data sources.

  • Drive the AI-on-data layer. Partner with our AI engineer to define how agents and LLMs access, query, and act on platform data — semantic models, retrieval patterns, and in-warehouse AI primitives.

  • Build and productize our integrations motion — ingesting data from a growing set of first- and third-party sources. Turn what today requires custom work into a repeatable, operable pattern.

  • Lead and develop our data engineering team. You’ll manage directly, set technical direction, and raise the bar on quality — starting with a tight-knit team with room to grow.

  • Define the engineering standards for the data org — CI/CD, testing, infra-as-code, data lineage, governance, and observability — so the platform scales without fragility.

The Role: Global Accounting Lead

As our Global Accounting Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing Certn’s global accounting operations and ensuring our financial reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and leadership-focused. You’ll oversee core accounting operations, support month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and help ensure Certn’s financial data is reliable, audit-ready, and useful for business decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing (and Crushing)

Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the global month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial results.

  • Review and approve journal entries, supporting calculations, and account reconciliations to maintain data integrity and audit readiness.

  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including timely processing, accurate coding, and alignment with internal controls and vendor agreements.

  • Maintain and improve global accounting processes and internal controls to support efficiency, consistency, and risk mitigation.

What You Bring to the Table

Jump’s data platform is at an inflection point. What started as an internal capability now powers the analytics and insights our clients rely on every day. We are seeking a Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA) to report to the Vice President of Revenue Operations. This is a builder’s role for a leader who thinks in systems, treats analytics like a product, and is excited to operate at the frontier of AI-augmented decision-making. A leader who can define what we measure, why it matters, and how every number ties back to a clean, trusted source. Before anything else, this person establishes the foundation the rest of the business runs on: a rigorous set of KPIs, unambiguous metric definitions, sound data models, and a single version of the truth that executives and sellers alike can rely on. Get that right, and everything else compounds. Get it wrong, and no tool or technique can save it.

You will own the operational backbone of Revenue Operations analytics — the metrics, the definitions, the governance, and the reporting that leadership uses to run the business. You will gather requirements across teams, reconcile conflicting numbers, close data gaps, and turn fuzzy questions into precise, durable measures. This is the work that makes everything else possible.

With that foundation in place, you will modernize how we deliver it. We are migrating from a legacy Redshift/Alteryx/Tableau stack to a modern, code-driven ecosystem built on Redshift, dbt, Dagster, and Airbyte, paired with a next-generation, version-controlled BI layer. The goal is to treat analytics like a well-engineered software product — tested, documented, version-controlled, and built to scale as fast as the business does.

This modernization unlocks the next chapter: an AI-augmented function where a strong operational core is amplified by emerging tooling. We believe the analytics team of the next few years will increasingly work from an AI coding cockpit — agentic developer tools like Claude Code and Codex alongside GitHub — to build, review, and ship pipelines, models, and dashboards. On top of well-defined metrics, that opens the door to conversational analytics, AI-generated narratives, and agents that surface and act on insight. The key word is on top of — AI multiplies a solid foundation; it does not substitute for one. The ideal candidate has already moved past the chat window and uses agentic coding assistants to do real engineering work, but reaches for them in service of operational rigor, not in place of it.

As the subject matter expert for Business Intelligence and Analytics, you will partner closely with field and operational teams, instituting leading practices that pair analytics-engineering discipline (Git, CI/CD, testing, semantic layers) with self-service access. You will lead a team of Business Intelligence & Analytics Analysts, Analytics/Data Engineers, and Data Quality Specialists.

Above all, this is a full-stack, player-coach role — not a hands-off manager. You’ll lead a team, but you’ll also be in the work: your morning might be deep in data engineering, pairing with Claude Code to refactor a dbt model or debug a Dagster pipeline, and your afternoon might be building and delivering a polished, board-ready presentation that translates that same data into a clear story for the C-suite. We’re looking for someone who is equally credible in a terminal and in the boardroom, and who is genuinely energized by the full range — from the plumbing to the podium.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Metric Definition (the foundation)

  • Own and maintain a comprehensive, well-governed set of business KPIs and the precise metric definitions behind them — the trusted source the rest of the business runs on. This spans the core recurring-revenue metrics this function lives and dies by — ARR, ACV, GRR, NRR, churn and contraction, bookings, pipeline and pipeline coverage, win rate, sales-cycle length, quota attainment, and forecast accuracy — along with the upstream operational measures that feed them.
  • Nail the definitions where the traps live: how contraction is treated across GRR vs. NRR, churn vs. downgrade, ACV vs. TCV, new vs. expansion vs. renewal, and how each metric is segmented and rolled up. Make the calculation logic explicit, documented, and consistent everywhere it appears.
  • Establish a “single version of the truth”: reconcile conflicting numbers, eliminate ambiguity in how metrics are calculated, and ensure every figure traces back to a clean, documented source.

  • Champion the adoption of agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) across the team for pipeline development, model building, dashboarding, and analysis — moving well beyond chat-window prompting.
  • Build conversational analytics experiences that let stakeholders query data in natural language and receive trustworthy, governed answers — only ever on top of well-defined metrics.
  • Implement AI-generated narratives that automatically explain “what happened and why” on top of dashboards and KPIs.
  • Pilot and operationalize AI agents that don’t just surface insight but take action on it — drafting analyses, opening pull requests, flagging anomalies, and proposing next steps.
  • Stay ahead of the rapidly evolving LLM and agent tooling landscape, and translate it into practical productivity gains for Revenue Operations.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to build, develop, and partner with a growing team of 5-10 ML Engineers working on AI systems that power our digital forensics capabilities. You’ll be responsible for hiring, coaching, career development, and performance; raising the bar on AI/ML craft by shaping standards, developing engineers, and building a strong community of practice across the team.

Distributed across Canada and Sweden, our MLEs work in cross-functional groups alongside Software Engineers and SDETs, and are organized around missions like Search and Enrichment rather than by technical discipline. As part of the AI Engineering leadership team, you’ll work alongside peers to build cohesion across those groups, partner with Tech Leads to shape how we approach difficult technical problems, and collaborate with Product and UX to make sure the team is solving the right problems for our users.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years managing or leading teams of engineers, with a track record of building healthy teams, delivering results, and coaching people through growth (regardless of title);

  • Hands-on experience building applied AI/ML systems. Enough to understand what good looks like, evaluate technical judgment, and have credible conversations on technical topics with the team;

Security at Valon

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Staff Product Security Engineer - Customer Platform to join our growing team! As a key security member at Valon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our organization's systems, cloud infrastructure, products, and data.

This role blends product security architecture and technical control implementation, incorporating security by design into ValonOS. You will be hands-on and help shape how security is designed, built, and scaled across our SaaS platform both in foundational infrastructure and in customer-facing security features.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve product security architecture and strategy for Valon’s multi-tenant SaaS platform

  • Architect and guide secure implementation of customer-facing security capabilities in conjunction with Engineering (e.g., authentication / authorization models, identity integration, access controls, audit and logging, encryption / key management)

  • Build and maintain security reference architectures and standardized secure design patterns for product teams

  • Lead threat modeling, security design and code reviews for new features, services, and major architectural changes

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, Legal, and other teams to identify and drive mitigation for product and data security risks

  • Support vulnerability triage, remediation strategy, and root cause analysis for product security issues

  • Support security compliance and regulatory needs (e.g., SOC 2, CCPA, NYDFS, FTC), including customer-facing security discussions and due diligence

  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures

  • Support operational activities including security advisory and consultative reviews, incident response, issue remediation, and other security processes

Ideal Background

  • Extensive experience in product security, application security, or security architecture roles, with ownership of security design for SaaS platforms including multi-tenancy and customer-facing security capabilities.

  • Strong background in cloud security and modern infrastructure, with hands-on experience securing cloud environments (GCP preferred).

  • Proven experience in SaaS IAM and tenant security (e.g., authentication/authorization, RBAC, SSO/SAML/OIDC, SCIM, MFA, audit logs).

  • Expertise in designing secure platform controls (e.g., APIs, service-to-service auth, encryption/KMS/CMEK, logging/monitoring)

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain security reference architectures.

  • Expert-level experience leading threat modeling and security design reviews including security-focused code reviews.

  • Applied knowledge with industry security and compliance frameworks (OWASP, NIST, CIS, SOC 2/ISO 27001 concepts)

  • Highly hands-on engineer with proven ability to operate autonomously, drive multiple complex cross-functional efforts, and influence independently.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Prior software engineering experience and/or coding ability (Python) is preferred.

  • Experience working in high-growth or startup environments is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years in progressive senior security engineering or architect level roles, with 3+ years leading security design for enterprise-grade cloud and SaaS platforms

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Technology or related field

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSK, CCSP or similar)

  • Proven ability to design security reference architectures and implement customer platform security controls and technologies (IAM, API security, encryption/key management, logging/monitoring and others)

  • Hands-on experience with modern security technologies and tooling across cloud and application security
