About Nomad
Nomad is unlocking economic opportunity for everyone in the long-term rental community. We offer property owners guaranteed rent and peace of mind, while delivering a better rental experience for residents. Backed by leading investors, we're transforming a massive, fragmented market with technology that makes renting better for everyone involved.
Â
About the Team
Nomad's Engineering team builds the platform that powers guaranteed rent, owner dashboards, resident experiences, and the operational tools that make our business run. We're a small, senior team that ships fast and owns our outcomes. You'll work alongside product, design, and ops to solve real problems in a massive, underserved market. We're entering a new phase of growth. This is a high-leverage moment to join.
Â
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on meaningful ownership of our platform and deliver features that directly impact the business. You'll work across the stack, make real technical decisions, and ship end-to-end. This is a role for someone who's moved past needing close direction. You see what needs to be done, you build it well, and you make the people around you better in the process.
Â
In this role, you will:
Build and ship features across our Rails backend and Typescript+React frontend
Play a crucial role in bringing solid engineering principles into multiple legacy codebases
Own your work end-to-end; from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment
Collaborate directly with product and design to refine requirements and deliver solutions that move business metrics
Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to improving our engineering standards
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback that raises the quality bar
Identify and address technical debt, bugs, and performance issues proactively
Contribute to architectural discussions and help the team make sound technical decisions
Â
Who you are
An experienced product engineer with strong systems thinking abilities; you should be comfortable asking questions and improving the ideas that shape product iteration as well as executing on product vision
Significant professional software engineering experience, with strong experience in Typescript+React, Ruby+Rails, and RDBMS (we use Postgre)
You have experience with modern testing philosophies and can actively improve test suites that are slow, nondeterministic, or need updated practices
Bonus: You have experience automating workflows, using Playwright, Slack bots, and other tooling
You've shipped meaningful features or systems and can point to work you owned and delivered
Solid technical fundamentals; you write clean code, think about edge cases, and care about quality
You introduce and discuss modern tooling and libraries that solve recurring problems in the codebase
You are relentless in pushing for simplified patterns in the code and you have examples of systems you've simplified.
You have built out tooling (CI/Editor) to enforce improved coding practices across a codebase and improve developer experience.
You have experience with writing component and e2e-level visual browser tests and know when to use each.
Comfortable working across the stack; you're not precious about frontend vs. backend
Strong collaborator who communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates
Self-directed: You take initiative, manage your own work, and don't wait to be told what's next
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment preferred
Youâre comfortable using AI coding tools when they speed up implementation, debugging, or test writing, but you donât rely on them to replace engineering judgment.
Â
Interview process
Quick meeting with recruiter to discuss role and company
Hiring manager interview
(up to) 3 hour technical assessment where you'll work on a real problem that a Nomad engineer would own, building a feature.
Discuss technical assessment with engineering and product
Founder interview

Senior Data Scientist builds predictive models and data pipelines using voter file and behavioral datasets to help campaigns and organizers target outreach effectively.
Who We Are
At Murmuration, we believe that Americaâs promise is shaped and reshaped by the best ideas and ideals of its communities, and the dreams of the people who believe in a better life for themselves, their families, and each other.
We help organizations build power in their communities in four key ways: we organize a network of values-aligned partners; we provide deep, data-driven insights into people, places, and perspectives; we develop tools that make organizing and engagement easy and more effective; and we offer services that strengthen our partnersâ capacity to lead change in their communities.
We envision an America where every community has what it needs to help people lead healthy, free, and dignified lives. We work to redesign the systems and structures we all depend on â how we learn, live, govern, and solve problems â so that they are just, equitable, resilient, and rooted in shared responsibility. By strengthening the ties that hold communities together, we aim for civic life defined by collective action and care, with effective leadership that truly represents everyone.
We are a collaborative, curious, and creative team of organizers, scientists, teachers, technologists, campaign veterans, and more who share the unwavering belief that we can use our gifts in service of transforming America â together. Weâve built our team guided by the belief that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And so we support each other relentlessly â rallying together to face challenges the same way we celebrate each otherâs wins.
About the Position
As a Senior Data Scientist at Murmuration, youâll practice âfull-stackâ data science, shepherding problems from ideation to implementation. These scores help campaigns and organizers allocate their resources more effectively, reaching the right people at the right time. In this role, you will help drive this work forward, developing innovative methodologies with a focus on campaign data models and entity resolution. As a senior member of the team, youâll mentor developing data scientists and junior analysts and collaborate closely with the engineering, product, and research teams.

Provide guidance and mentoring to level-up junior data scientists in both formal and informal learning sessions; and
Apply emerging AI technologies to R&D challenges; youâll prototype novel approaches, evaluate feasibility, and bridge the gap between cutting-edge capabilities and practical usability.
6+ years of work experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent role producing models and analytics for business applications;
Deep understanding of advanced data science techniques, machine learning algorithms, and optimization methods;
Experience building and deploying machine learning models;

Senior Patent Counsel manages the company's intellectual property portfolio, drafts patent applications using AI tools, and drives invention harvesting across R&D and product teams.
Our client, a publicly traded digital health company leveraging technology and AI to transform care delivery, has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist the executives in their search for a Senior Patent Counsel. This role reports to the Associate General Counsel, Product, and will work closely with other members of the Legal & Compliance team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders across the organization â including access to senior leadership.
Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Patent Counsel who will build and manage the companyâs intellectual property portfolio and who is comfortable (indeed eager) to adopt AI tools to help them move faster and more efficiently. As the first dedicated in-house patent attorney, you will take ownership of the companyâs growing intellectual property portfolio, moving beyond management to active creation. This role will own patent strategy end-to-end: you will use AI to draft patent applications in-house, drive invention harvesting across the organization, and work closely with outside counsel to secure granted patents. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to build the internal IP infrastructure for a market-leading digital health company, working directly with advanced AI tools, engineers, product managers, and clinical experts to align the IP strategy with the product roadmap which includes AI-driven care, computer vision, wearable technology and broader aspects of care automation.
The role offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $216,000 â $324,000, together with eligibility for equity participation. The company also offers comprehensive benefits, including retirement plans with company match, modern life stipends, and support for family and wellness needs. Total compensation is designed to align with the scope and impact of the position.
Solutus Legal Search is proud to have been exclusively retained to assist our client with this special engagement. Resumes submitted directly to our client will be forwarded to Solutus Legal for evaluation.
